Approach

We’ve designed this course for everyone looking for a deeper understanding of how to apply ayurveda in their own lives, and the class focus is on self analysis and care. We’ve also placed an emphasis on interactive learning and modern life context for this ancient body of wisdom and practices.

 

Credit

This course will be relevant for anyone wanting to learn more about ayurveda and is open to the general public as an LMU Extension course. It will also provide requisite hours and units for the Yoga Therapy Rx Program and the LMU Masters in Yoga Studies.

 

Instructors

Siva and Felicia are the core instructors for the course, and they will be joined by several incredible guest lecturers through out the 7 month curriculum. Guest lecturers in our 2016 course included:

Arun Deva on Ayurvedic Physiology.

Mallika Chopra on Life Balance.

Martha Soffer on Pancha Karma.

Lorin Roche on Meditation and Visualization.

Kailas on various aspects of the subtle energetic body.

Eleni Tsikrikas on ayurveda and food.

 

Registration

Students may also register in person at the LMU Extension Office  1 LMU Drive, Los Angeles, California 90045.

Registration may be also done over the phone 310.338.1971, however credit card payments will not be accepted over the phone.

Registration requires a $500 deposit.

 

Tuition

Tuition is $1950 for the entire 2 semesters. A $500 deposit is required to register for each semester, and each semester is $975.  Payments can be made by credit card online, or by credit card, money order, or check in person at the office M-F 8-5.
